#RFACTOR 2 VR SETTINGS UPDATE#
Minor update to default weather conditions for different profiles (Rainy/Overcast/Sunny etc).Added a server option to disable faster real road calculations, as this adds approximately an extra 4KBps per client to server overheads.Increased the rate of RealRoad calculations by approximately x4.Added an option to set the amount of water on roads at the start of a session.Removed texture cache to simplify loading a bit.Added a visual driving line feature, this can be toggled from settings.Updated Safety Car added to Retail and ModDev.Sure it will not be the perfect racing title (nothing is) but we must praise the work and direction this sim racing title is taking. If those who were on the fence about rFactor 2, it is safe to come back and start bragging about those improvements and what lies ahead. So far so good, but those in game niggles still existed….until now.īefore we get to the good stuff, I would like to applaud the approach of those at Studio 397 and Motorsport Games that recognise the issues that lie ahead and challenge themselves to give rFactor 2 everything it deserves. With Motorsport Games acquiring Studio 397, many had hopes that rFactor 2 would get its deserved status and turn it into that sim racing title many had wanted, well, so far we have seen great improvements to the game and that UI that so many had desired. Many a time, rFactor 2 amazes me with how great it is, only to be let down, these are small issues but nonetheless breaks the immersion and sheer greatness of all the other things. It is one of those sim racing titles for me that always does some stuff really well, but is then shadowed by its flaws. This is something I have been personally waiting for, a big update and improvements in rfactor 2, is this what we have been waiting for! rFactor 2 is one of the sim racing titles that has always had a loyal fanbase, whilst it may not be on par with the levels of GT7 and Assetto Corsa Competizione, it has always gone about its work in its own way.

Here we see a BIG update and Improvements that are available for rFactor 2, time to get busy as Studio 397 and Motorsport Games go all out.
